Tree shear SMZ KN 400

The SMZ KN 400 is used in forestry for cutting branches and tree trunks. The tree shear can easily be mounted on an SMZ 210HD grab. The grab has a quick coupler where you insert the cutter and secure it with 2 pins.

The tree shear is a robust piece of equipment with 2 counter-rotating blades. The shear closes separately from the grab, so that you can first grab a branch and then cut it. When the shear is open, the blades disappear completely into the housing, so that they are protected and the gripper is completely free. This way you cut and collect branches and tree trunks, after which you can stack them in a heap, it is also possible to feed them directly into a shredder. The rotating function of the wood grab allows you to place the cut material in any desired position.

The maximum cutting diameter is 40 cm depending on the type of wood.
