Fellinghead SMZ 150.2T

The SMZ Velkop is unique in its kind. This work tool is designed for mounting on rotating telehandlers. With this felling head it is possible to fell an entire tree from 1 position. The uniqueness lies in the movements, the gripper can rotate infinitely and tilt 90°. As a result, any position in which a branch or trunk is located can be assumed with the gripper and sawing can be carried out from top to bottom without tension on the wood.

The felling head is fixedmounted to the telehandler, so that the branch or trunk remains in the position as it is being sawn off. This makes it possible to work safely, and the branch does not make any unexpected movements, minimizing the risk of damage to objects and employees.

The 150.2t can cut trees up to 57 cm, the grapple can hold, pick up and move logs up to 80 cm.
